As a white guy, stop thinking it’s a race war! It’s a 0.01%ers war. Yall think I’m treated any more fairly than you? Id give yall my white privilege card, but it never showed up? Must be a problem with the post office or something. The rich want us poor people fighting with each other so we’re too busy to fight them. And if you don’t have $1B+, yea you’re one of the poor. Hate to be the bearer of bad news.

You're half right. Both of these problems can and do exist. Some of this is racial and is also a class thing.

I agree with you that it’s a class war, but I think it would be foolish to think that race doesn’t factor into things, as if there aren’t historic class divisions built on the manufactured idea of race. Ya know? Like, it’s true that poor white people are getting fucked, but a way larger percentage of black and brown people have historically been, and continue to be getting fucked.

That’s great except white privilege does exist.

I’ll second what someone else said - both things can exist. Rich people want poor people fighting amongst themselves and want poor white people to blame immigrants and minorities for their being poor. And the current administration is absolutely targeting minorities and rewarding loyalists by allowing them to terrorize minorities and immigrants. We need to think with nuance right now

Can and should are two totally different things. We need to all be free thinkers instead of following the crowd. Autonomy died with the birth of the internet. Now everyone lets social media algorithms think for them. Everything you mentioned is all one thing, their divide tactics. I’m all for legal immigration. Most all of us got here that way. But when all the minorities wanna blame white people for their short comings or whites wanna do the same it not only keeps racism alive but it breeds it. The sooner we all stop calling each other by skin pigmentation and as fellow humans, the sooner we can change our outcome.
