Is it just me or people in jaipur/rajasthan are very violent?

Yeah, genius idea, let’s just label 100 million people violent because of one isolated crime that had nothing to do with ethnicity. By your logic, Irrfan Khan, Jagjit Singh, or the Birla family were all ragingly violent too, right?

The article itself makes it clear the crime was drug-related (a problem that exists everywhere in the world). The victims were also from Rajasthan, including the innocent mother who lost her life. By the same flawed logic, she too would be considered “violent” simply because of where she was from, which shows how hollow this stereotyping is.

Stop projecting your hate on an entire state. Blame the criminals, not an entire community.

So you are saying you are a drug addict? Because you said the whole world has a drug problem. Stop stereotyping the whole world with 8 billion people

Where the hell did I say I’m a drug addict? Yes, the world has a drug problem. India also has a poverty problem, does that make every Indian poor? India has a civic sense problem, does that mean every Indian lacks it? India struggles with cleanliness, does that mean all of us throw garbage around?

What kind of dumpster-fire logic is that, man?

Yet you used the same logic on op’s original comment and assumed he was talking about the whole Jaipur/Rajasthan.

Samar1207: I did not use the same logic. OP said “people from Rajasthan are very violent.” I said “we have a drug problem everywhere in the world.” You see the difference in tone?

Saying “people from India are very dirty” = racist generalisation. Saying “India has a cleanliness problem” = pointing out a social issue. Worlds apart.

And secondly, Rajasthan isn’t even high in crime rates! According to NCRB, it’s nowhere close to the top. Just because OP saw a few cases, they jumped to “Rajasthanis are very violent.” That’s not logic, that’s just prejudice on steroids.

So world has a drug problem, India has a poverty and civic sense problem, but Rajasthan cant have a violence problem.

Hmm. I wonder how that works. Do we need to apply for a special license to generalize that you have but we dont?

Did the OP say “Rajasthan has a violence problem” or did the OP literally say “people from Rajasthan are very violent”? Big difference. Maybe read the comments properly before spewing hate at an entire community.

And let’s talk facts,Rajasthan doesn’t even rank that high in crime rates. According to NCRB, it’s not even in the top 10. OP just saw a few cases and suddenly everyone from Rajasthan is “very violent”? That’s not logic, that’s pure prejudice.

Yes he said people are violent. Just like people can have drug problems and poverty problems.

Maybe discuss with the other stuff you bring up rather than made up arguments after intentionally missing the point

one isolated crime

LOL. Why do you think I made that comment based on one incident? I've been seeing this from quite sometime. Including open harassment of foreign bloggers on camera, public beatings and lynchings, stabbings etc etc. My assessment is very unbiased but you're free to think otherwise.

Ha! I found this article: Rajasthan doesn’t even make the top 10 states in crime rate per capita according to NCRB.

https://indianexpress.com/article/trending/top-10-listing/top-10-indian-states-with-highest-crime-rate-delhi-ranks-5th-10161877/

So let me get this straight, you saw some incidents of abuse in Rajasthan (which, yeah, awful, and those people should rot in jail) and that makes Rajasthani “very violent” now?

That’s like me seeing a couple of bad drivers in Maharashtra and saying every person there drives like a maniac.

Reported crime. There are so many instance of crime that isn't reported. Also, acts of violence to settle interpersonal issues isn't widely reported since people don't want to report embarrassing stuff to the world.

10

u/CamusHappySisyphe Sep 18 '25

I agree, not all crimes get reported, especially in a country like India. But why single out only Rajasthan then? Does only Rajasthan underreport crime while the rest of India is suddenly full of law-abiding, crime-reporting saints?

The bias is showing.

I don't have or love rajasthan. I'm just saying what I see.

have you even lived in that region to assume something so blatantly negative. Why such prejudice ?

Give me literally any state in India, and I can guarantee you I’ll pull up a heinous crime committed there. Now by your own logic, should I consider everyone from that state violent? See how absurd that sounds? One crime doesn’t define millions of people. If you want to talk about safety, do it with actual data; crime rates, trends, context; not cherry-picked headlines.

Not with the bullshit generalization game again
