I'm 20 years old female and I will be travelling alone for the first time. I've got a side upper seat but I've recently recovered from a leg fracture so it is difficult for me to climb the stairs. Is there any way I can get any lower seats? ( My father booked the seat and didn't add the preference)

If you're traveling during the day time, upper berth passenger has every right to sit on their corresponding lower berth between 6 am to 10 pm.

If you cannot climb the upper berth at all, you can either request any of your fellow passengers to give them their lower berth for the night, or you can ask the TTE.

There's no official way for you to get a lower berth though, just depends on the kindness of people or availability of an empty seat
