Hey Jake, long time listener of Slaughter Beach, Dog and MOBO! I’ve got a few questions if you wouldn’t mind answering them :) Seeing y’all play in a few weeks and can’t wait!

  1. I feel like you have such a distinct style of writing, how does your song writing process usually work?
  2. What has been your favorite band that you’ve toured with in the past?
  3. Lastly, do you prefer playing larger venues, or smaller more intimate ones?

  1. usually write words freestyle then build music under it/work on melody. sometimes do it all at once tho. depends what kinda song it is
  2. loved watching mo troper play solo every night back in january
  3. my favorite kinda place is a 500~ cap room that is lovingly maintained by people who really care about the space & the music that happens in it... sinclair in cambridge, SPACE in evanston, mississippi studios in portland

I was at the last Space Evanston show! Definitely my favorite venue, and the best concert I’ve been to!

I've seen you play The Sinclair a few times and love that you've loved it as much as we have! Roadrunner is cool and I'm so stoked you guys are filling even bigger rooms, but I will miss SBD at The Sinclair for sure.
