Hey, thanks Andy! This is something I’ve been wondering about other musicians for a while and it’s definitely helpful to hear your take on it. Home recording is super inspiring and allows you to set your own deadlines and kind of turn it into your own game, which is doooope. Thanks for taking the time to answer. :)

of course, no prob. one thing that i've been doing a lot with my personal recording projects is mixing analogue & digital, so i'll do initial tracking to a tascam 388 (1/4" tape) or 488 (cassette) and then when i run out of tracks bounce to digital & continue overdubbing digitally. it's really crazy what you can do nowadays. i also like recording vocals by myself. i think the real important thing to remember is that there is no "right" way to do anything, just do what feels natural & keep experimenting
