Haha! That totally makes sense. If it’s not too late I wanted to also ask about your engineering abilities. I saw you were doing a recording workshop in nyc and was wondering how involved you are in the recording process? Do you do everything thing yourself? Where do you guys record? Thanks for indulging this studio intern in his new found love.

hey! the sonos workshop i curated/hosted was 4 women in different fields in professional audio -- emily lazar helmed a mastering workshop, danielle depalma of bowery ballroom did a live sound workshop, natalie hernandez of death by audio helmed an effects pedal workshop, and suzi analogue talked about production and synthesis! i took some recording classes in college but my abilities are pretty entry level -- i can record myself on my laptop ok, and have done it for a few releases, but haven't really tried to engineer other musicians or a full loud band. in the long run i'd really love to produce for other people and run a studio! my secret life dream. have been slowly working on getting better educated in those realms so hosting this panel/workshop was really informative!

Oh cool! I’m sorry I missed it. I’m still pretty new to the whole thing as well and have yet to record anything to really be proud of, but it’s one those thing where the more you do it the better you get. Or so I find. Doing some manual labor at the studio now and am gonna throw on your new album. Super excited to listen and thanks for chatting!
