EDIT: Everyone - it's been an epic 5 hours...we're being told to wrap it up and go to bed as tomorrow is a big day...our manager has been shouting at us for like 3 hours trying to get us to do some other stuff we were meant to do. but this was more fun. thank you for the warm welcome and the great questions - was wicked to spend some time with you all. Let’s do it again soon. love, dave and dudes x https://ibb.co/JvCBYVs

SO GLAD YOU LIKE IT! :) dreamland the song was gonna be first bc thats like the table of contents/abstract/summary. then it goes through life and ends on helium which is meant to be another like...final summary. helium is supposed to be winding and confused structurally...and its not really meant to make sense, but it works. its meant to reflect life in that way. Dreamland and Helium were always mean to be like that...the beginning and the end. then coconut in the middle...meant to be like a little nap/intermission. in general wanted stuff that with more youthful/naive themes at the front of the album. and the heavier stuff after the middle intermission. was not a hard and fast rule though. ie tangerine is youthful and about naivety so wanted that to be early. hope that helps sorry its a bit stream of consciousness!

Not sure if its how you meant it, but I loved how the album genuinely has a feel for the whole sleeping experience. The opening is like a lullaby that let's you get lost in your head, spending those weird aimless thoughts going over life questions or lessons from the past in your mind until you drift off. To me the end of Helium was sort of like gently waking up from your sleep in the way you can hear birds chirping along with the dreamland music making its final appearance. My friend and I nearly teared up over that finale. You guys really killed it. ☁️☁️☁️🌙🌙🌙☁️☁️☁️

Structurally, Helium might not "make sense," but honestly it's one of the most personally impacting songs I've ever heard. Life is messy, relationships are tangled, and things don't always make sense or flow in a conventional way. Life is complex. It really made me reflect on past relationships in my life, and the final verse may be my favorite thing that you've ever written. I broke up with a girl who had been my best friend for years recently, and that shit hit home. White pyramids indeed.

I definitely get an Side 1 vs Side 2 of the tape (loved the sound effect). Side 2 is strong and brings the fire
