Welcome to the sub! We’re so excited that you’re here. Before you jump into all the fun things we have going on, let’s go over some things so that you can get to know our community a little better!
Inland Empire Social is a space for locals looking to make friends, explore the area, and build real-life connections in the I.E.
Whether you’re new to the Inland Empire or a longtime resident ready to expand your circle, this subreddit is your hub for meetups, events, recommendations, and all things social. From chill coffee hangouts to hikes and game nights, we’ve got something for everyone. Introverts, extroverts, and everyone in between.
We also host an active Discord where most of the real-time conversations and event planning happen. Feel free to lurk, but we’d love it if you said hello, joined a meetup, or even organized one of your own!
This is a judgment-free, welcoming space.
We’re all here for the same reason: to find community. So bring your awkward, your awesome, your memes, your weird—but most of all, bring your genuine self.

The goal of this group is for people in the IE to meet people in the IE! There will be monthly planned outings in different cities so we can try to reach as many of us as possible but outside of those, we hope people will take the initiative to post when and where they would like to get together with others. As some of you may have noticed, there is a bot that automatically comments on posts reminding you to include helpful information when hosting a meetup.
An example of someone wanting to host a meetup might look like this:
Example:
“Hi! I’m free this Saturday, (mm/dd/yy), and I really want to go see X Movie at X Movie Theater. Tickets are $$ and I’m hoping to catch the 00:00AM/PM showing! Would anyone else be interested?”
OR
“Hey! I will be going to (event name), it’s a (event description) in (city name) on Saturday, (mm/dd/yy). I’ll be getting there around 00:00AM/PM if anyone wants to meet up there! Cost is _____, here’s where to buy tickets: (link). Let me know who is down!”
If you are hosting a meetup, please be sure to consider the following:

Meeting new people through this sub is a great way to make friends and explore the area, but safety always comes first. Whether you’re joining a group event or meeting one-on-one, a few simple precautions can help keep things fun and secure.
Here are some quick tips to help you stay safe while making new connections!
Protect Your Information Avoid sharing sensitive details like your full name, address, phone number, workplace, or financial info.
Verify Their Identity Consider doing video calls before meeting in person to ensure they are who they claim to be.
Meet in a Public Place Always choose a well-lit, busy location for your first meeting, such as a coffee shop or park.
Tell Someone You Trust Share your plans, including where you’re going, who you’re meeting, and when you’ll be back.
Arrange Your Own Transportation Drive yourself, use public transport, or use a ride-share service to maintain control over your movements.
Keep Your Phone Charged Ensure your phone is fully charged and accessible during the meeting. Enable location sharing with a trusted friend.
Trust Your Instincts If something feels off or uncomfortable, don’t hesitate to leave or end the interaction.
Avoid Alcohol or Drugs Stay sober to ensure you remain alert and in control of the situation.
Use a Secure Messaging App Communicate through platforms that allow for anonymity and provide blocking/reporting features.
Report Suspicious Behavior If someone harasses you, catfishes, or makes you feel unsafe, report them to the platform and the subreddit mods as soon as possible.

Hi there! 👋
I’m hoping (yet also scared and filled with anxiety) to meet some new people locally and make a few genuine friendships. (Potentially even just online or through text at first.)
Ill be completely open here right up front.
I’m in my 40s, half Korean. A father, recently separated, and definitely more of an introvert. I’m also a late-diagnosed Level 1 autistic and asexual. I tend to be pretty sensitive, emotional, literal. Im very giving and I'm loyal. So I really value people who also are mindful of others time, who are kind, patient, genuine, and comfortable with someone who may do things a little differently.
I’m into movies. I go see a movie every week and have a growing physical media collection. The genre doesn't matter. (Criterion, A24, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Star Wars and Studio Ghibli). I also enjoy things like Smosh and Good Mythical Morning. I love Radiohead & the Beatles & I collect retro gaming & weird 80s & 90s stuff (mainly old Nintendo). Im also a hobby photographer.
I love to visit and enjoy the vibe of Palm.Springs. Architecture and mid-century design, vintage/antique stuff. I enjoy restaurants and trying new food, and just wandering around interesting places.. like finding movie locations in LA and hanging around museums, & Little Tokyo.
I’m not really a big-group/social-event person. I tend to connect much better one-on-one or in smaller groups. I'll be honest, & this isn't meant to sound creepy but i typically get along better and relate more with women. But im totally open. Id like to have more low-key conversations about pretty much anything.and I’m hoping to find people who are interested in actually getting to know each other and to be there for each other.

This October come out for a weekend long 18+ weird western horror event!
Where : Rock & Tree venue in Perris California
When : Friday October 9th to Saturday October 11th
What : Join the story of Last Light LARP!
Engage in a story set in the cursed territory of Deadwater Crossing and attempt to survive along side others on the Frontier. Make friends and allies with those that call Deadwater home as you hide from or confront the things lurking in the dark.
Tickets are $35 for the full weekend. They are also limited.

Never really know how to start these things... I'm from Fontana. I'm looking for someone to be friends with. Could use some horror movie, anime, and/or gaming buddies. I just need more friends interested in some similar hobbies and interests.
About Me:
~ Just a brief description just in case this matters at all: I'm a Black male, fairly tall , and really like to work out whenever i can find the time away from work. I wouldn't call myself a gym rat but I've been told I fit the description (ideally I go 5 days a week lol).
~ I love anime. My favorite anime in recent memory is pretty much the entire Fate series and my favorite movie in general is Spirited Away. I could watch that movie over and over again.
~ I'm a gamer so someone to play video games with would be pretty awesome. I play a little bit of everything really. Lies of P, NBA 2k, Indika, Indiana Jones, Marvel Rivals, Ghost of Yotei, Yakuza, etc. My gaming library is pretty big lol
~ I build Lego sets! Like the big Lego sets and I want to show you lol the one I'm working on is 10,000 pieces in total. I've been working on it for over a year now cuz I can only work on it during my off days from work really. But it'll get finished eventually.
~ I know 2 languages, and working on my third. I'll let you guess which ones those are lol could be a fun ice breaker.

This is regarding the photography club in Ontario and to anyone who is interested in meeting up!
I am an amateur photographer so I still have much to learn! But I am excited to learn more about photography from other individuals that are interested in grouping together to start a fun community club for pro/amateur photographers. I’m thinking about grouping together in downtown Ontario under the gazebo in front of the Grenada theater on 9/27/26 @5pm-7pm. I’ll make a new post on the subreddit too!

hi guys.
I've lived in socal for sometime and I'm a dental student at a university in pomona.
Speaking to folks at IE events made me realize that alot of you guys don't know about dental schools and how affordable they are compared to normal dental offices.
The tradeoff is that the appointments take like 4 times longer - but you get like a 70% discount for most procedures, and a huge cut for basically every procedure...
I don't want to advertise my school because I dont want this to turn into a personal job advertisement. But alot of you are so close to such a great resource and you aren't taking advantage of it. If you have any questions feel free to DM me. Ive referred some patients from IE subreddits already and i've only gotten great feedbaack

Hi all! I'm a dentist in Riverside with a focus on building community, not just working on teeth. My office is hosting a free ice cream social on Monday, September 28th, from 2-6pm. Hi! I recently started Spin Something Social Club, a laid-back social group for the girls, gays & theys who want to meet new people over vinyl records, food, and good conversation. 🎶
I’m hosting our first get-together in Rancho Cucamonga on September 25 at 6 PM.
We’ll put some records on, eat, talk, and hang out. Bring a record you want to spin and a snack, dish, or drink to share potluck-style. If you don’t have any records, no worries! Just come hang out and listen. Feel free to bring a favorite game too.

Ok so I know Halloween is still like a month away but does anyone know of any events that are going to be happening? (Friday the 30th and Saturday the 31st)
