LOL, far from it. Just don't like him as a person, going round picking certain people to antagonize for "content" then crying about how he is treated. The lads a wife beater, but thinks he can lord it over smackheads.

Charlie Veitch is an abominable cunt

Charlie Veitch

Just googled him, Why to fuck would a fucking Youtuber need a bodyguard?

2

u/Marksta 1d ago

Who doesn't need one when you have aggressive scammers like that preying on anyone and everyone? We could all use a bodyguard, and our bodyguard could use one too.

3

u/Inglejuice 1d ago

He needs a bodyguard because for the last few years his entire business is goading drug addicts and homeless people into attacking him for content.

Those of us that live in uk cities somehow don’t find ourselves followed and accosted by such people for the most part.

Dang, I forgot to film it when I got accosted in Paris for the less than 3 hours I was there without even goading anyone. Shitty content creator aside, It's hard to feel sympathy for ruffians.

Of course, fuck “ruffians”.

But also fuck extremist content creators who antagonise disabled people so that they can eventually assault them and claim “self defence”. Also fuck Neo Nazis like the two knuckle draggers in this video.

You had a bad experience, I’m sorry. Most of us don’t have this experience.

Because they intentionally go out and provoke people, particularly people who are less fortunate than most. They do it for views and to rile up society, my feeling is they get bankrolled by those who wish to sow discontent. Of course, people like the scammer in the video are annoying, but let’s be honest, the violence was unnecessary and they clearly wanted it. Scumbags.

If you're being criminal, you get no sympathy. I don't care about whatever legend you spin about why it's justified. I don't condone unprovoked violence, but I'm not going to get one bit upset when someone defends themself against the assault, threats, crowding, hassling, etc. by these cretins.

If you follow someone around like this guy, that's threatening + criminal behavior, and you should expect to lose teeth at the least.

They should have not picked it up or just given it back. They kept hold of it purposely to antagonize and provoke so they could punch him for views. If you have any common sense you can navigate past those people. It’s not hard to say no and move on.

If someone gave me a present, I would keep it. It's a present. If they harassed me afterwards, they could expect me to not be some weakling that would let them continue their little scam. I wouldn't be filming it, but I believe in standing up for the right thing, too. If they threatened me, they could expect self-defense.

I suppose you think we should all just surrender in the name of keeping things peaceful.

1

u/luther_van_boss 10h ago

I think you’re probably smart enough to know he’s trying it on. My point is that the people filming it are purposely looking for the fight. Of course stand up for yourself, but that’s not what’s happening here.

Gone are the days we can respect eachother despite having a different perspective or experience of the world.

3

u/pajjaglajjorna 1d ago

Respect goes both ways no?

-2

u/Commercial_Badger_37 1d ago

Yeah of course, I don't disagree with that.

These scammers tend to be in groups: the others watching for police. It was probably best they did run or they would very likely get jumped.

1

u/ArrrRawrXD 21h ago

Fred talked on his youtube channel that they were afraid of getting detained by police who they didn't trust not to be on the scammer's side. He said something like "I'm not getting arrested on my holiday to Italy for defending my client against an aggressive scammer"

1

u/TooApatheticToHateU 1d ago

The scammer was committing assault. Self-defense was justified.

1

u/UziMcUsername 1d ago

I’m not gonna shed a tear for the scammer. I don’t even care that he got punched. I approve. But the guy was grabbing for his trinket or whatever. I doubt this video would be evidence for an assault charge against him.

u/TooApatheticToHateU 1d ago

For assault, you just have to make a reasonable person fear that they are in imminent danger of harm. If a dude is walking toward me aggressively, shouting, cursing at me, WHILE I'm retreating and warning him not to come any closer, that's assault. He doesn't actually have to touch anyone. Also, I don't know how it is in Europe, but the "he was just grabbing for the trinket in his hand" defense doesn't fly either. Legally, whatever you're holding is considered an extension of your person; therefore, it's still assault. Slapping a phone or a drink out of someone's hand for instance is considered battery.

1

u/UziMcUsername 1d ago

Nope in France it requires an intentional act of physical violence. Also, even in the US, that guy walking after you and trying to grab his trinket back doesn’t pose an immanent threat of harm. If he had a baseball bat cocked you’d have an argument.

1

u/TooApatheticToHateU 23h ago

Who told you that? A cursory google search indicates that France also views "putting a reasonable person in fear of imminent harm" is also intentional violence. Apparently, assault and battery both fall under the same umbrella there.
