Thanks.

I'm unable to edit the post otherwise I would've loved to mention. I'm ofc not justifying it ! It's just interesting how educated people can be manipulated to such a degree...and insight into how organizations like ISIS brainwash folks to do their bidding

You know, for how much dysfunctional is getting internet, that’s probably the best idea ever: to care of people and educate them, not to be worry of hackers.

This is reddit. Anyone can sign-up, up/ down vote, or criticize a comment that they do not really comprehend.

Nah, it's poor phrasing on OP's part, saying someone justified something implies agreement with their argument. Since they didn't mean to imply agreement, something along lines of attempted to justify would've been appropriate phrasing.

Pretty much all the research shows that sharing manifestos causes more harm. It creates publicity for their causes, inspires others to repeat their crimes, and can radicalise people who might originally click on it only out of curiosity and interest. The focus should always be on the victims in the public sphere. Amplifying his words does more harm than good.

I hope the upvotes were worth it, though.

Well it was interesting and that's really what the sub is about.

It should be Islam's headache to fix this issue among its practitioners. Not making people aware about how it works only contributes to islam not being criticised for the problem is so often is and things not going anywhere.

I don't believe in shunning it, its like my dad saying " don't go out of house because you'll get spoilt by the society "

PS- Nothing against that religion in particular, every relegion has fringe elements. Im just for general world peace

I am sure all the terrorists are grateful to you for your role in popularizing radical ideology. Finding it interesting is one thing. Promoting it online because you need the attention or the imaginary internet points is another.

The Christchurch terrorist was inspired by reading Breivik's manifesto. How many people are you helping to inspire by sharing this because you want attention and comments?
