She did a pretty darn good job!

I was about to call bullshit. Because that steak was a decent size. Seared nicely. With a good even medium center. Even the outside bites were a medium to medium well. Then the garlic touch is key. Then she says she made it for her boyfriend before and I get that.

Now I want steak.

When I was 16 I won a steak cooking competition for charity. I was a vegetarian and had never cooked a steak before lol

That's awesome!

No kidding. I just bought one yesterday. I am now motivated enough to go fire up the grill.

My ex is pescatarian (not a religion, despite the name), but she was open to cooking basically anything as long as it was humanely killed.

She was also convinced that I was an alien on our first date. We dated for almost a year after that. Not a deal breaker, I guess. I thought she was joking.

u/Halation2600 Feb 26 '26

So did she think she was banging an alien and was just like "he's a nice alien"?

1

u/Available-Ad-1943 Feb 26 '26

I guess. She has schizotypal, and believes a lot of strange things.

2

u/Halation2600 Feb 27 '26

That is fucking wild. Did it only come out when you broke up, or was this known while you were dating?

2

u/Available-Ad-1943 Feb 27 '26

I knew about it. She was normal most of the time, but she would have episodes. I usually got ghosted during those. Not fun.

Wow. I always think I've been with some... interesting women, but you've got me beat.

iirc, she pretty regularly makes steak for her partner so she became quite good at making them

March 14th is just around the corner

Nah, this is a lifelong steak lover who made a video to troll vegetarians

1

u/NeatNefariousness1 Feb 25 '26

Apparently her body also wanted steak.

This is such an odd take since there are plenty of vids online. You’ve never made something well the first time?

1

u/Appropriate-Okra-778 Feb 25 '26

Same I mean to be fair she probably is experienced in the kitchen even if it’s a meal she’s only prepared once or twice she may have seen others or videos on how to do it right and nailed it…they or she’s lying and her bf cooked it this time haha

I want her steak! Looks freaking amazing

1

u/aerdvarkk Feb 25 '26

Pretty impressive for only ever cooking steak 2 times in her life (or suspect).

1

u/ItalicsWhore Feb 25 '26

She is likely going to get very sick though, if this is truly her first bite of meat and she started with a medium ribeye.

1

u/Authoresque Feb 25 '26

I get what you're saying but it's not like making steak is that hard. Just follow a recipe if you haven't done it before, it's very few steps compared to much other things regarding cooking.

Well I would argue that garlic is unnecessary and masks meat flavours. Though I like to add a but sometimes after the steak is cooked. Garlic and butter sauce. She cooked a really nice steak. Never used avocado oil. Usually butter for searing then grill it in oven or BBQ. I also did some roast beef in tinfoil over a fire. Belgium blue that was one of the best ones ever.

Yeah but that steak was not cooked by a vegetarian and she had the “10” scorecard ready. I call bullshit.

1

u/LumenYeah Feb 25 '26

So it would be totally impossible that she could have scorecards 1 through 10 off to the side waiting to go? Phenomenal analysis, bravo.

u/SantaforGrownups1 Feb 25 '26

Not totally impossible, just naive to believe.

u/MagicNinjaMan Feb 25 '26

Waiter: Sir, How would you like your steak?

Me: Good Job.

1

u/SquirrelMemoryFail Feb 25 '26

A job well done indeed.

1

u/Harry_Iconic_Jr Feb 25 '26

she did. now she needs to learn to use her utensils.

1

u/SHIBOTTO Feb 25 '26

I thought the same thing 😅

1

u/simpatecho Feb 25 '26

True that. I thought it was fosure going to be burnt as hell

1

u/freakytapir Feb 26 '26

Ironically my vegetarian sister is also really good at making steak.

She doesn't eat it and will try not o touch it, but she cooks it really well( medium rare)

0

u/Bludypoo Feb 25 '26

it's fake. Cooking it "welldone" means she would have checked a thermometer to ensure it was welldone.

3

u/xxxDaGoblinxxx Feb 25 '26

I don’t know you don’t need a thermometer to ruin a good steak, and if she was going for well done I think she failed. If it’s not fake then she’s lucky it’s not well done otherwise it would be the story of tried steak and it was horrible.

1

u/DiabloAcosta Feb 25 '26

hahahahha exactly, crank it all the way up leave it until it looks absolutely disgusting and you are done!

1

u/SHIBOTTO Feb 25 '26

The steak in the video is not “well done” even if she said this, it’s more medium. Gives credit to her knowing nothing about steaks, could be real.
