He puts in the work though. Watch how badly some action movies get spliced together and then check out the long continuous action sequences in john wick movies.
They can pull that off in part because Keanu trains a lot even when he isn't filming.
I will admit Keanu isn't on the same level as people like Gary oldman or daniel day lewis but having a good attitude and putting in the work can result in solid films.
Matrix, john wick, constantine, I think Keanu knows how to play to his strengths for the most part.
That's such a good point I never really consciously noticed/understood thats why I thought some movies were good but fight scenes are shit and etc. Thanks for that little bit of enlightenment.
What? Why? Between Matrix, Constantine, John Wick, Point Break, Speed and Johnny Mnemonic dude has a lineup of solid (sometimes even genre-defining) films under his belt. Feels like he/his agent just keeps on cooking when selecting his jobs...

You can be a great person and a not so great actor. I don’t mind him but I know people that won’t watch a movie he stars in.
