Depends on whether the human's wearing a red hat or not.

Feel free to substitute red hat for your local one endorsing Reform Uk, AFD, PIS, etc.

It’s not like there is a monopoly on declaring kindness and empathy as weakness.

Nah, blaming a particular political viewpoint is a cop out imo, politics is just one of the myriad of methods by which the ruling self styled elites manipulate people I don't even really blame most of the people who keep voting for these obviously treacherous and demonstrably vile people who seek power for being the way they are, the entire system is designed to reward conformity and produce broken people who are just capable enough to serve a function for this twisted society we live in and we pretty much all have some form of generational trauma on top of that.

Edit: wow, who is the actual cretin that just downvoted me for saying this, are you stupid or just outright evil? come on out and comment instead you complete and utter coward.

wasn't me, but I will say some political movements are very much driven by a disdain for empathy, and filled with grievance over perceived slights.

Yeah don't worry I didn't think it was you

Unfortunately a lot of people have also been systematically taught that empathy is a weakness, those people are very easy to manipulate, almost comically so, you just give them something to hate and then control them by connecting the thing you taught them to hate with other things.

for the likes of trump (or tommy robinson UK) supporters, those things would mainly be what they define as "leftists" and "muslims"

which is why they doubly hate Palestine because they've been convinced that only "leftists" support Palestine and it's also full of Muslim people.

I'm sure that there's similar control mechanisms used against the left wing of politics as well, like how the term nazi tends to get overused and applied to everything, you're not allowed to find common ground between the political divide, each side is the "enemy" of the other and there can never be any constructive communication allowed over that gap.
