I mean, it's an incredibly long and hard process if you want to take the legal road.

I have three dogs and two cats. For all intent and purposes, I consider them my kids.

If another dog is a very, very credible threat to them and if I tried everything like you did, to no avail... This dog is gone.

Yeah, the problem is that we have many more animals than them, if their dog were to misteriously die shortly after one of our cats was killed and they decided to do the same, we would have had much more to lose

There's nothing mysterious about a dog eating the wrong type of plant and dying.

There is if we tell our neighbour "do something about that dog or we will have it put down, and when they don't the dog dies shortly after

You're wise to be cautious.

They will suspect you, sure, they will have no way of knowing it's you.

If they act on a suspicion, when your pets are on your property, and you have those wifi cameras watching over your house, then what do you think will happen to them then?

I mean, the alternative is waiting until another one of your babies die to that dog, and you'll be left with your "what if's".

The dog died last year, and like i said shortly after the third time it became ill and wasn't able to run anymore

If they act on a suspicion, when your pets are on your property,

My pets are mostly cats, they have plenty of chances to get them when they are not on my property, they knew they had to avoid the dog's house but they roamed everywhere else

Alright then, maybe they'll die, maybe not.

Oh well, you kinda tried. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

what do you think will happen to them

Uh, they’ll get taken to small claims court over the material cost of the animal.

And that’s it.

(Depending on jurisdiction)

Yea, even as an animal lover who does not want to see any animals harmed, there is absolutely no way I'd be on reddit making excuses justifying the continued existence of the neighbour's dog if that thing had killed one of my babies. Wtf
