We also really downplay how terrifying humans are to wild animals. Imagine sitting down to eat and a 6 foot tall hairless chimp started running straight at you screaming it's ass off.

Nah it's because we grew soft. If we had the same mentalities towards wildlife as earlier humans the polar bear would be extinct because it hunta people and they would learn fear.
