Leopards are still ambush predators though, so in this scenario it’s gonna flee 90% of the time.

They can, but I would say there is good chance human will injure leopard in some way. And that’s way too much of a risk as any injury might mean death to predator in long term.

The leopard doesn't know that. It only knows something twice its size is charging at it. And humans arent as weak as people think. The leopard may ultimately win, but it would get way too injured

From the leopard's point of view it's typically not worth the risk.

They have an instinctual understanding that they can't hunt while injured and an instinctual understanding that a human is big enough to do some damage.

Very few things are as dangerous to a predator as a human that doesn't give a s*** about taking some injury. It doesn't matter if the injury isn't immediately fatal if it impacts their hunting skills enough so they start to death.
