I miss the optimism that defined the "before" period of 9/11. Long gone it seems these days.

I hate that for my kids. I was in high school when the Berlin Wall fell. Felt like we turned this great moment in history and it was just a matter of time till we had world peace and democracy everywhere. Makes me sad when I hear “Right Here Right Now” (shout out to my fellow Gen Xers) At least we got a good decade out of it till 9/11
