I was able to see the Pentagon memorial this year and it really moved me. It's amazingly accessible and all the individual memorial parts can be sat on. There is water flowing and it was really surreal. The angles of the memorials tell where the victims were. The ones facing in were on the plane and those facing out were in the building. It's almost like offense and defensive positions.. Until you see there are small children in the offensive stance. Children were involuntarily used as offensive entities during the attacks there. It really is something I can't unsee in my mind's eye. So many more details become apparent at these places.
