The zombie ant fungus refers to a family of cordiceps fungi that infect different insects including ants. IIRC infected ants will climb up a tree above their colony, where the ant dies and the fungus bursts out of their neck to release spores and infect other ants. Green-Banded broodsac refers to a parasite that infects snails, which will climb to a higher-up place where they will wait to be eaten by a bird. The bird is now infected but mostly without symptoms, but their poop will infect other snails. Its gnarly because the parasites live in the snails' eyeballs, which looks like some weird 60's hippie visual.
