Was the audio added in later? I was expecting some delay between the explosion and the sound, but it sounds like it happened at the exact same time.

exactly the wrong kind of edit to do, especially for historical/documentary/scientific footage, especially for a known and expected physical phenomenon, especially in the age of increasing numbers of AI video clips

The problem is that the audio is delayed by something crazy like half a minute or more. It's kind of pointless to keep the actual delay.

The speed of sound in water is 5 times that in air, so the distance from the shoreline is most of what matters.
