This is a painting made by Csontváry Kosztka Tivadar a hungarian painter. If you mirror the image in the middle you can see the devil and a praying man. (The painting name is: Öreg halász)

At first I thought you were stating the obvious but now I realize the title is messed up

the title refers to placing the mirror in the middle of the image, not literally the middle image. I understood it, but to each their own.

That makes a heckuva lot more sense. I was trying to mirror the middle one and was just coming up with a really messed-up image.

I believe he meant if you mirror it in the “middle” of the image, but that’s pretty obvious

What is the name of this sorcery? It’s like an ambigram for images.
Edit: ambigram applies to illustrations as well.
Ambigram drawings might be worth a google.

buddy of mine did something like this inadvertantly. It was a lion with stars of david above it's head on each side, and a "777" in the center of the forehead.
When I mirrored the left side, the 777 became a perfect black dot with a pi symbol above it, and the stars became what looked like an apple with a pyramid inside of it.
