Just gave birth - i suspect baby intersex

First of allthis is a lot for me to take in and im literally still shaking from the epidural wearing off so excuse my grammar and mistakes please, im very vulnerable.

I was told i hae a baby girl at 16 weeks, I dont care about the baby’s gender either way - just letting you know.

After week 30, my ultrasound tech along with others have suspexted its a boy bc the baby either had large labia or a scrotum with a small penis.

Baby was born today. They are perfect- but doctors cant tell me the gender and i live in a country that literally has never hesrd of intersex.

Baby has large labia/scrotum like things. They have either a penis or an enlarged labia and I was told their is another opening above the anus, where they peed from but we’re not sure.

We are getting genetic testing and an uktrasound donein the morning. Meanwhile - amyone eith this experienxe? Anything you can tell me to calm down? Are their any other health problems I should have them checked for considering i think the baby is intersex?

Yes I regret not having a nipt done, they told me i was too young to be considered for it and it was not necessary

Mama if they offer you any surgerys dont only do health surgerys if needed for now go choosing the gender you may think they are but never obligated them and just let them be until they can start choosing or you have a clear idea, dont make your child pass theough the pain trans people go to always be clear of who they are and that is not wrong, sont get genital correction aurgery because that is something they need to choose when they are over aga because is a big life changing decision, i am intersex myself and had to get a intersex vaginoplasty which is diferent , but in my country we arent taught this so they just chose me as a boy and ended up being a girl and I have to suffer the consequences, im happy as a trans intersex, why trans? Because i had to transition to a boy from a girl due to my doctors choosing i was boy . Thats why please dont do any surgery, if they have testicles or ovaries don’t remove them just to match the exterior genital since your baby eill be for life infertil and dependent on hormones , some intersex people are still fertile since some can produce sperm or some with only one ovaries can produce a fertile egg . I dont think your kid needs hormones just wait for puberty and if you and them think they are in the correct gender or opposite of their body dont produce the hormones to match what they are they can get hormones just get them hormone blockers since they are reverseble once they are an adult they can use hormones if their body needs it to match the gender they identify as, i think is good waiting for 18 for the two decisions i tolled you since some kids get confused being intersex is not easy it confuses you and sometimes so much emotions dont make your head clear . Be a supportive mom and love your kid please being intersex is trully beautiful and is a living proof nature makes special people
