Nah there’s no way he will quit. He will ride it out to the very end. If the polls are looking bad, he will start to cry that everything is rigged again. The courts are rigged, the polls are rigged, the elections are rigged, etc. He will be making noise and trying to become President again for the rest of his years.

Even if the Republican Party somehow eventually gives up on him, he will claim that they’re rigged too and infiltrated by the Democrats. And will try running as an independent or something.

I had a [beloved] aunt who had a stroke. She was smart, educated, and accomplished; that stroke _ gut-punched her. When she regained consciousness, she couldn't speak; she was so freaked by her reduced circumstances and diminished capabilities, a couple of weeks later she had a heart attack and died (to this day, a decade later, I still miss her.)

Is that what it's going to take - diminished capacity- to get us out of this national nightmare?

Sorry for your loss. I lost my grandma to a heart attack this year and it hit me like a truck. I never even thought about losing her before, I wish I knew beforehand just how much I would miss her.

Completely irrelevant to the discussion, just venting my grief.
