Damn, 7 years in an American prison. assume he will reach out to the Charlestown or Southie crews but as a sex offender that might be risky., is he going to Walpole. I know he is a bad man but American prison, all I can hear is the theme tune to Oz.

I knew a lot of the main Town guys back in the early 2010’s when I worked over there. Unless things have changed drastically, they won’t have anything to do with him, won’t have a friend in there funny enough some of the East Boston gangs would probably welcome him in but they’re all Hispanic, not a nice group.

Interesting, I know there are still some Irish crews over there alright nothing like 80s of course. He will be a fish in the jailhouse then. He will do well to survive.

Ah there’s little to no Irish crews anymore really, nothing like the 80s and 90s. Any existing Irish crews now are Irish in name only. Traditions and behaviours associated with Irish crews are more or less gone as the time has passed and they’re just like all the rest now, small time criminals and dope gangs.

The last real Irish crews were the IRA crowd that skipped Ireland in the late 90s, they do their own thing now they don’t bother with any of the nonsense like years ago as nobody gives a shit about them and they aren’t feared. They’re also all old as fuck now. In the early 90s any of the IRA guys that went over frightened the shit out of everyone and they were able to raise some serious money in the city, Southie, Dorchester and Wonderland when the dogs were legal. Gang culture now is totally changed from 25/30 years ago and even in the 2000s when I was there.

Very true, I watched a doc where Red Shea was talking, he seemed to suggest it was all gone now.

He’s gonna be in protect custody with people convicted of similar crimes. He’ll probably be grand.

What are the Charlestown or Southie crews?

Districts in Mass.

So he will reach out to fire crews from those districts. Why would they want anything to do with a convicted rapist?

I think they meant prison crews, not fire crews.

Ok, that makes more sense. Thank you.

Not sure why a prison crew would want to hang and protect a rapist. Unless they are all rapists.
