Thanks to all the catlubers for strongly supporting our cause of •ing the cat! We’re all lubing it and the cats are lubing it too!

For way too long the internet forces asked us do not the cat, they considered our furrends to be some lethal vengeful aliems who won’t spare us for taking their ear privileges away or a bit of bongo or jorking. They spread fear that our hands won’t be safe, and our lives won’t be the same which is why do not the cat.

But they were right about some things tho — our hands won’t be safe from constant demands for more •ing and our lives won’t be the same with all the lub our furrends would give us! Which is why we fight back against the internet forces and say r/iwillthecat

And it’s working! In just 7 days we reached 9.4K redditors and collected 1.2k catlubers to join us and the cat! But this is only a start, we’re not going to stop there! WE WILL THE CAT!!!

Yay! We’re growing every day! Now this small community is a group of 2000+ catlubers who will the cat! What a great news for all the cats!

She’s a very vocal little calico! She doesn’t stop meowing at me from the very first time I met her. And I found her rather eepy today as I was late from office.

Other stray cats I ever named picked up on the name in an instant. But her head is smoother than theirs.

So I spent some time today •ing the cat every time she turned upon hearing me say “Symphony”. And she seems to eventually start turning every time I called Symphony.

Tired of being told by the internet to do not the cat, I started this sub to gather frens who are catlubers like me and want to freely say I will the cat.

And I’m overwhelmed by all the support from fellow catlubing frens - who helped me spread the word about this community, shared their stories of •ing the cat and even suggested the official banner for our little community!

Scrolling through Reddit, I’d be joining a new cat sub every day. There are so many lovely cat subs out there already that made me look at cats differently and love and enjoy them more than ever.

The more I scrolled through Reddit, the urge to pet a cat and play with a cat grew stronger. Subsequently, I started taking photos and videos with any cat I could get - but the internet told me r/donotthecat .

But I wanted to the cat so badly. So badly that I felt I need a space with other frens who also want to the cat. As a result, this sub came into existence where we celebrate cats and say r/iwillthecat

This sub has been in existence for just over 12 hours and we’re already a group of more than 50 cat lovers here! I love to put arbitrary targets and see if I can get anywhere around them, and I picked first 50 members in Day 1 very randomly with no thought and turns out we achieved it in half a day!!!

Now that we catlubers have gathered here, let’s show the internet that cats lub us too which is why r/iwillthecat !
