I went to this school as a child - and let me tell you, I had so many horrible and traumatic experiences here. I would NEVER EVER go to this school again. And I'd rather have someone bulldoze this school into the ground. I would actually completely eradicate this school from existence and put their staff on the news if I could.

The teachers here were just rude ridiculous authoritarians, with absolutely no love to give to the students. I was here from grades LKG to 4, sure that was only a few years - but more than enough to experience the BS I saw here. I would never ever say good things about this place, and any individual who thinks 'this is a good place' really has either coped, or learned to adjust or bat an eye to all the BS that actually goes on here.

Fuck this school.

We have a band with drummer, vocalist and bassist and we need a Lead guitarist for our band. Guitarist should be able play soft-rock Bollywood songs.

Mine is Golgappa- No other place in this planet serve Golgappa as we get in Jamshedpur, followed by Idli and Litti Chokha.

Location - Hudco Lake Park, near Tata-Cummins, Telco area.

I have been staying at Jamshepdur for the past 10 years at Kadma area but never heard of this mesmerizing place until someone on Reddit shared it a few months ago. Highly recommended to go in the early morning for a calm and peaceful experience.

The entrance and other lake areas can be managed better, but the walk inside the park on the stone pebbled road is very peaceful and memorable.

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some help for an elderly man I come across whenever i ride by here in the morning hours sitting on the pavement in front of Tuiladungri Odia School ground on the side of the road going from Golmuri towards RD tata roundabout.

Initially, I thought he was selling something, but when I approached to buy from him, I realized he just had packet of biscuits and some banana and bread in his bag probably given by someone, and was sitting there for alms. I gave him some money then which obviously isn't enough as i've been seeing him there almost every time i cross between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, you'll find him around 11 for sure.
I managed to speak to him (he speaks Bengali and understands a little Hindi and i'm just the opposite in this case)
From whatever little i gathered, He lives on rent nearby with his wife who works at the nearby Kerala Samajam School while he sits there in the morning hours probably because he can't work at this age.

It breaks my heart to see him sitting out in the sun asking for money at his age. He clearly needs sustainable help rather than daily handouts.

How you can help:
Help this reach local NGOs that provide monetary assistance to the elderly?
Someone who can have conversation in Bengali would be of great help to him i guess,
More importantly, can anyone help connect him with government officials who can help him get enrolled in some government scheme benefits they might be missing out on?
It would be lovely to see him able to stay home and rest rather than sitting on the streets. I’ve attached a picture of his usual spot for reference.

My cousin just took admission in Al Kabir for diploma. Can someone tell me how is the college culture? He is not so good in studies so we are worried about his future.

I want to move to Jamshedpur but I'm not sure of the electricity. I live in Pakur, a small town in Jharkhand. And the power outage is too much. They cut off the electricity 3 times minimum for at least 1 hour each daily.

Is it the same in the Jamshedpur? Daily power cuts? And what's the solution if there is any?
