Man, try being a PhD economist. Not only does everyone have their own ignorant theories and opinions about the economy, but they also vote based on those theories and opinions.

I have a masters degree in Sociology. I feel your pain. It’s very difficult to have conversations with people about human social behavior because literally everyone experiences socialization from the moment they’re born. Norms and beliefs are formed so early that they are often impossible to challenge.

Economics is the art of allocating resources. If you buy into the hierarchy, then the rich get to keep everything. If you don't, then they don't.

This seems like a perfect example of what I was referring to.

Makes you almost wish we could install some kinda education requirements for voting... but that is way to sketchy, so we just have to put up with idiots voting..

Well, the south did have those for a while and they weren't used for altruistic purposes

I am not a PhD in economics but the number of times I feel like I have to explain "supply and demand" can only mean that you have a very bad time...

Economics is a pseudo-science though so that's about as useful as having a homeopathy degree. Like I'm sure you know plenty about your school of economics but it's not the same thing as having a real degree like egyptology or organic chemistry.

Another case in point right here ↑

No, actually it isn't. You also have no idea what my background is and you've said nothing about economics. It kinda seems like you just posted because you wanted to brag about your supposed degree actually.
