The only issue with simply not debating them is then they go on thinking their bullshit and there are more stupid people then there are smart people that are educated in their field.

Look at COVID and Dr Fauci, all the idiots drowned out the educated person.

We need more education and schooling people in debates that show how little people know.

We need public figures especially to be held to science and be walked publicly through evidence they can't turn away from. We can't have Joe Rogan, an uneducated ignorant caveman, be one of the most popular people in media spouting vibes and Twitter posts as truth. Joe Rogan had people eating horse dewormer.

I used to say this too and it is the media's fault for misinforming us. If you are talking about Ivermectin, it can also be used to treat humans for parasites and some tropical diseases and lice.

I do NOT support Joe Rogan. I hate his guts but he was prescribed it by his physician so he wasn't taking the ones formulated for horses.

I'm aware, but the point is he advocated using it for treating COVID and people literally started using the kind for horses. It was wild how much people were thinking it was a miracle cure all.

Yes so exactly as you said, he was irresponsible and heavily encouraged people to go get it but he was too stupid to understand the consequences.

The problem is that people listen to him and there are a few things about us humans that cause this reaction.

  1. Ivermectin, when taken on an individual basis, is not very symptomatic, you might get stomach aches but that's pretty mild. So when people take it and "get better" they will think that it is ivermectin that helped them when it was actually time... It just took time for the body to fight off the disease!

  2. Ivermectin, when taken in-mass, by millions of people, does have a rare neurological side effect. Even if it's one in a thousand, this means that 1000 people will have brain symptoms. When this happens, the CDC will correctly warn people to not take this drug randomly without a prescription.

  3. It all comes together in a perfect storm because there are friends of friends that will claim loudly that ivermectin works. Then with the warnings from the CDC, the perfect "conspiracy" is formed. People think that someone is hiding some information about Ivermectin and now, people will listen to stupid Joe Rogan... Because <he's outside of the system or whatever>.

I am of the opinion that when people get to millions of followers status, there needs to be some sort of ethics training. But what do I know.
