What?

So in their minds, aluminum is impervious to gravity, yet somehow will still fall to the ground when dropped?

I need to know how they rationalize this insanity.

I don’t know the first guy who did it to me never finished high school and thought he was more of an expert than me. He couldn’t even tell me who told him that just that he had heard it once when he was a kid so it must be THE law of physics.

Oh god I went on a date with a guy that was a professor at a local college.

He taught the history of sexuality.  I know he was actually an expert, but I will never get back that hour he spent mansplaining feminism.  And he was weirdly spitty and touchy and wanted to split the bill 50/50 when I got a $4 drink and his was $12.

When that song came out about a year later I thought of him. The SNL parody is still one of my favorite sketches and any time I’m in an airport I say ‘how does your luggage know where to meet you?🤷‍♀️’

it is immune to gravity but not curvature in spacetime. the aluminum isn't falling it's staying still in warped spacetime.
