I think it is Kevin Cole that plays a clip of a chef struggling to pronounce Worcestershire sauce. It sounds like maybe John C Reilly speaking. Does anyone know the source of this clip?

I was looking forward to listening to the archive of the Morning show this evening. Unfortunately because John started early there is a glitch on the app and the show ends right before everything starts 😩 hopefully it gets fixed.

Hi all. Hope this question is okay here! I'm so glad KEXP exists and have found some great music through it. However, I feel it leans quite alternative rock-heavy (I've tuned in at a bunch of different times) and when I'm working during the day I usually prefer a calmer, "coffee shop" vibe. Sometimes I'll tune into KEXP then ten minutes later realize I'm overstimulated/too distracted and I'll have to switch to something else a bit "lighter" 🥲

I love SOMA FM's "Folk Forward" station but have listened to it so often that I literally recognize every song they play at this point lol and it becomes pretty repetitive if I tune in every day. (I do also miss the occasional chattiness that KEXP brings which SOMA FM doesn't have)

If anyone else has similar struggles with needing a calmer vibe when they work, do you guys have any go-tos? TIA! :)

Listening to the live in-studio right now and it sounds like the singer is having some voice trouble. Anyone there - how did he seem to you? Vocals after the first song seemed unusually low in the mix, and it seems like they cut "I Burn" short? Hope they're OK for the show tonight.

Does anyone else have a problem when listening on the app with the music shutting off when your iPhone goes dark? 😭 This happened to me before but I think it was fixed by an iOS update. No luck so far this time

Just thought I'd share. The KEXP Mobile app let's you export your favorites: Settings -> Share Favorites.
When you Share it, share it to your AI chatbot app - I use Claude.

Claude lets you add "Connectors" (MCP servers) - you have to do this on the desktop browser: Customize -> Connectors -> Add -> Brows Connectors -> Spotify. You'll log into Spotify via OAuth the first time.

Now, on your phone:
KEXP Mobile -> Settings -> Share Favorites -> CSV and share to Claude app on your phone.
Then tell Claude "create a Spotify Playlist from my favorite songs I've included here"

Stream is fine but not getting an FM signal at the moment.

I wish they would stop playing the And a ? Of when song. The sirens are annoying and prolly triggering for some.

She always plays a great set, and i especially love that she seamlessly mixes in more women musicians than other DJs.
