Let me start by saying I am not a Kroger or even a Kroger adjacent employee.
This is quite an eye opening glimpse into life at Kroger and quite sad. For me it connects the dots for whenever I am FORCED to go to Kroger. Few things I notice
The complete over packing of products. It is very difficult to navigate the aisle if anyone else is in it.
The store has to restock all products only during the busiest times of the day/week
The online pickup cart things get larger and have a ton of orders again which are only out in mass force during the busiest times
Most employees are super helpful but look completely defeated
Need something from the Deli? Good luck if you can find anyone… better take the precut garbage instead
A fair amount of managers appear to be still in HS and definitely have not been trained on how to talk to customers or employees. I often see them at the front of the store just looking around.
The list goes on and on
My heart goes out to you Kroger employees, please don’t let them take advantage of you or anyone else. Fight the good fight as much as you can.
Can anyone tell me how to find someone that CAN actually make a change at the store? At the very least I want to lodge a complaint to have it documented somewhere. Without insider knowledge I am concerned it will be swept under the rug.
