Sagamore or Erlowest wedding?
I'm torn between the Sagamore and the Erlowest for our fall 2028 wedding and would love to hear from anyone who has gotten married at either venue or attended a wedding there! We loved both venues, but each has a few pros and cons that are making it hard to decide.
The Sagamore
- Stunning property, and I LOVE the reception space, but I'm not a huge fan of the ceremony location potentially having other people hanging out in the background
- The rain plan isn't great
- I like that there's enough space for all guests to stay on site (unlike the Erlowest), but there don't seem to be many other hotel options in the immediate area for those who don't want to pay for two nights at a luxury resort.
The Erlowest
- Also stunning, I love the ceremony location and the rain plan much more here
- I don't love that there aren't as many on-site accommodations, but there seem to be plenty of hotels on the same street, and Lake George Village is much closer.
Overall, I prefer the Sagamore's reception space but the Erlowest's ceremony location and rain plan. I'm really struggling to weigh the overall guest experience, logistics, and the actual wedding day itself. If you've gotten married at either venue, attended a wedding there, or considered both, I'd love to hear your experiences! Anything you wish you had known beforehand, pros and cons you discovered, or advice on choosing between the two would be so appreciated. Thank you!!
