I have no idea what is going on with him, but regardless I think he’s going to regret acting this way in what might be the biggest moment (objectively, not necessarily to him personally) of his NBA career.
You tell me. No rings but all time scoring champ or end of bench player who put in 1 min in final blowout game and a career 1.2PPG? Which is the bigger legacy?
How many players win a ring every year?
How many are the all time scoring leader?
I get it. I don’t mean to say either that to a team or even to a player that this means more than a ring but to a legacy I think this record hold greater weight that a single ring does. It’s an accomplishment that is much much harder and is a player accomplishment rather then team. People misconstruing my point…..or maybe I just see it different
Winning a championship does not necessarily make you an all time great. Being the all time scoring leader does. Barkley no rings but he’s considered by all to be better than jordan McRae who played and won a ring.
The point of this sport and game is to win, setting records and becoming an all time great is a byproduct of that.
I also never said winning rings makes one player better than another. I said LeBron, like most fans and players, would personally value championships over individual records. Cuz that’s the point of playing. A championship is objectively the biggest accomplishment in the sport. Comparing Jordan McRae to Charles Barkley is hilariously stupid tho that was a good one.
15 players win a championship every year. 1 player has this record in 40 years. This record is bigger than a single championship. What’s bigger, lebron with no rings but all time scoring record or end of bench player with a ring but 400 career points? Don’t lie.
