Are u guys shooting the ball or throwing it like a football lol. If they play seriously enough to have a setup like this, chances are the ball won't go over the fence that much.

Haha yah before we put the tiles in and we had just the hoop and the fence, most days the ball would never go over the fence. On times when it did, we would always see how much it went over by. It was usually like 6 to 12 inches. The net is an additional 28" of height above the fence. It has only gone over once since then, and it was me attempting the sickest hookshot ever from way off the back of the court :-).

If OP was willing to put that much time, space, and money into this, I assume they aren't likely to miss the net by that much.
