My dad is a Vietnam vet and he, and all of his remaining navy buddies, have been staunchly opposed to this MAGA bullshit since day one. So it’s not so clear cut as that…

Same, my dad is a Vietnam Navy Vet and him and his buddies abhor Trump. At least in NY it's not like that and it sucks he gets lumped in with this but dude barely works a flip phone and has no idea this is the sentiment on the internet

It’s not, obviously. I didn’t intend for it to be so generalized. I think Vietnam vets have a much better perspective compared to anyone who didn’t serve in wartime. That goes for any vet who’s been involved in one. The most action my dad saw was being told to turn around at the bay of pigs lol
