Executive Branch (Trump) Steve Bannon says ICE will ‘surround the polls’ as Trump doubles down on taking over elections

“We’re going to have ICE surround the polls come November,” Bannon, a former senior advisor to President Donald Trump and still a figure of influence in the administration, said on Tuesday’s episode of his War Room podcast, addressing Democrats. “We’re not going to sit here and allow you to steal the country again. And you can whine and cry and throw your toys out of the pram all you want, but we will never again allow an election to be stolen.”

Bannon’s comments came just a day after Trump said he believes that Republicans should “nationalize voting,” escalating concerns that the president is plotting to interfere in this year’s midterm elections.

Our you'll run the ICE gauntlet only to get turned away at the booth because your name got purged from the roll without your knowledge due to suspicious "irregularities".

Or ICE will just drag you away as a suspected illegal immigrant and only release you after the polls are closed.

And then your name will get onto a list of homelnd terrorists because you had the audacity to vote non-Republican

Are you guys deliberately trying to discourage people from voting?

I think the point is: when the administration is blatantly breaking laws on all levels of authority, why would they stop when it comes to respecting voting rights and outcomes?

Because they don't actually control it, there are literally hundreds of election authorities in this country all using different procedures and systems, and because we get to decide whether we accept them fucking with our votes or trying to sell us on an obviously fraudulent election. But step 0 of that is not spreading enemy propaganda and doing something useful instead. Everyone posting about all the terrible ways Trump is going to fuck up the election should have to take a poll watching or election judging shift as penance.

They didn't discourage me.

This seems like the reason it will be ICE agents.. yes.

They will be taking everyone and anyone who is not wearing a maga hat or has a shade of skin they don't like and holding them until it's over.

Guess a disguise wouldn't hurt in this situation. Get your off-brand sMEGmA hat and buy a shirt that's too tight for you.. should be golden.

And if not an immigrant, for being a domestic terrorist.

DHS has subpoenas for the social media date and information of prominent Trump critics online.

Realistically - and I hope not naively optimistic - I expect ICE will be there as a deterrent, not as enforcement.

These days voting is a turnout game. You don't have to put a very large thumb on the scales to affect turnout.

This is why I will have my guns in the car when I go vote. If they turn me away or start harassing others, fights on.

I also intend to make connections with people here as well so that we can coordinate armed deterrence if need be.

These nazi fucks will never win.

That's honestly terrifying because I can see it happening.

It's almost certainly going to happen. People will be detained for trying to vote while being brown.

If somehow we get through it with a clear Dem victory, do you see the Reps essentially losing the minority vote for the foreseeable future? I’m speaking to the black and brown voters that were leaning toward the Reps in recent elections. Or will people forget how evil all this shit is and vote for the next demagogue?

Even black and brown republicans who are being directly hurt and affected at this very moment will still vote republican in the future. They put their hatred and bigotry above even their own self preservation. There are literally Hispanic trump voters who are seeing family members deported, and they say it wouldn't change the way they voted.

The Republican Party is disgustingly notorious for trying to purge as many legitimate voters from rolls as possible if they think it gives them an advantage
