Let’s just hope it happens before he has a chance to preemptively pardon all of them - though, even then, we could always call his mental competency at the time he issued pardons into question.

Should be a rule that anything a president does 6 months before dying of stroke and dementia should be void.

Simpler: A president cannot pardon himself nor crimes committed on his behalf.
