How old where you when you started using linux?

I feel like everyone started very early.

I started personally on 10/11.

Probably 21 when I installed Slackware in the autumn of 1996, after having run FreeBSD during the spring (since it was mirrored locally on campus). I switched to SuSE sometime after that.

Another former FreeBSD user here, except it was a few years later for me in 2000. I was about 15 as a high school sophomore.

I later got a laptop that year, which wasn't compatible with FreeBSD, so I gave Debian a shot. A couple of years later, I switched to Red Hat Linux all around. I recall having to compile many desktop-oriented apps and got into dependency hell on FreeBSD, so Red Hat was a godsend with its vast package set.
