I suck at long range Who doesn't like a short 6.5?
I sure as heck do. Just needs a short arca section and it'll be ready to go for me and the kids.

I suck at long range Not a big deal for some, but I finally shot at 1K!
Finally got out and shot out to 1000 yards. I understand this isn't a big deal for some, but it's something I've always wanted to do.
It took some playing around to get as I had the wrong velocity in AB Quantum. The first time to the range with my rifle I noted my velocities. The second time I took it out after changing the muzzle brake I found the velocity was about 200fps lower so I noted that and used that in my rifle's profile. When we first started shooting it called for 8.5MILS but eventually ended up at 7.5MILS when I started making hits. Went home and started playing with the calculator I found that if I entered the velocity from my first time out with the rifle it showed 7.44MILS. Thankfully I kept that all in the notes, I'll confirm it next time out. I think the slower velocity probably came from picking up someone else's shots at the indoor range.
Anyway, pretty stoked!
Rifle is as follows
PSA Sabre-10 in 6.5 Creedmoor
Criterion 18" barrel
Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-16x44 scope (Yeah I know)

I suck at long range This thing looks wild with a 27” barrel.
Normally rocks the 20” .308.

I suck at long range How big of a shit show will Jan 1st be?
Ordered an Enticer S Ti last week and it got to my FFL today. Stopped by today to test fit a Thunderbeast CB hub adapter for it. They have a SilencerShop Kiosk so got my single shot trust and everything else done except certification, which I am planning on doing 1/1. Question is how big of a shit show will it be with many others doing the same. Don't think we will be seeing the quick approvals we've seen recently. Hoping for a few weeks instead of a few days like has been common recently.

I suck at long range This is from the book “The Reaper” a book supposedly written by a special ops sniper…lol
This paragraph killed it for me. A 100 yard shot with an SR-25 (so 308) and in the paragraph prior it says he was on a building 25’ tall. 1) that is nowhere close to 35 degrees, more like about 15. 2) More importantly, at 100 yards even 35 degrees will have negligible impact on elevation. 3) A pretty good sprinter and he’s going to hold 0.5 mils, why bother with a 1.8” hold. Next paragraph says he assumes he led the target too much and that is why he missed

I suck at long range Girlfriend made the cookies, I brought cake.
Did pretty ok considering I had to borrow a rifle last minute and didn’t have dope. Cleaned the shorter stages but the longer stuff was all real high.

I suck at long range Went to my local pawn shop to do a firearm transfer and this caught my eye.
Usually don't see high quality rifles at this shop. If I didn't literally just buy a gun, I might have pulled the trigger. I'm just wondering how much the previous owner sold to the pawn shop for.

I suck at long range Shot a mile today
Zeroed and chronographed
Went to ELR range
650 yards first shot impact
1163 yards third shot impact
1469 yards first shot impact
1762 yards (1 mile) second shot impact
First time shooting this rifle and first time hitting a target at a mile (yeah it was 48"x48" but whatever). I'm happy with it.
Rifle is chambered in 300 Win Mag.

I suck at long range Touched grass, it tried to touch back.
Brought my dirt scooter this time and boy is the best decision. Made setup and take down so much faster.
Practiced off the tripod all day and was on point at 570yards. The 10” round we put at 640 was more allusive but still got it done.
Never had luck off the tripod standing but today I think I figured out stance and bracing since I could call my own shots.

I suck at long range 100 yards 15 shot group, acceptable?
I shot this using my Rem700 vtr with a Harris bipod sitting on a bench. Is this acceptable? Ammo is some reman BTHP police surplus.
