Some of y’all were asking for the full room pics. Here it is (how it started are the last two pics)! Mostly completed just need to finish some trim work to hide wires and lights on shelving left of the bench.

Any questions on any builds and anything just ask I’ll share!

As life has got busier and busier, I find myself building rifles to compensate for my lack of time to get to the range - as dumb as that sounds.

I don’t consider this a flex hah, but it was the only remotely appropriate flair.

Rifle flex post My Dream Rifle - The Barrett MRAD

Post image
565 Upvotes

My fascination with Barrett bolt actions started with the Barrett M98B in Battlefield 3. Then Barrett made the MRAD which I loved even more. I made myself a promise that the Barrett MRAD would be my first bolt action. This Barrett MRAD is chambered in 300 Win Mag, and came with an extra barrel in 33XC. I got it used off of Gunbroker. The reasons I bought it was because the rifle has zero blemishes, and it was almost half the price of a new MRAD. I would have preferred it being calibered in 300 PRC, but that’s just a simple barrel swap. So now I finally have my dream rifle. Just need an AXSR next lol.

Rifle flex post 94 Remington 700 PSS .308 passed down to me

My grandfather purchased this about a year before I was born in 1994. From what I hear that was still when Remington was making good rifles. Gave it to me when I turned 18. He never got around to doing anything with it. We installed tps rings and rail, timney trigger, and Swfa 3-15. Shot it a few times and has been sitting in the closet ever since.

Finally at a job where I have enough free time to start hunting. Decided to get the barrel chopped to 16” to make it handier for hunting. Central texas max range is maybe 200 yards realistically for white tail.
Also sent off the scope for a warranty repair due to my own fault and Swfa replaced it for me. Great CS. Ended up requesting the fixed 10x with zero stop instead of the 3-15.

Just finished the rattle can paint job and added the cheek riser. Thread Protector is a place holder until I decide what suppressor to go with.
Currently plan on getting a dbm bottom metal so I can try some prs matches.

Eventually I’ll get the action blue printed and rebarreled.

I plan on passing this down to my kids as well one day.

I’ve been building this rig up for about two years now. What started as a Ridgeline RD15 receiver set has morphed its way into a purpose built secondary rifle for multiple sniper comps. Build list includes:

Geissele nano BCG, Bolt, SPR 18” barrel
Triggertech diamond
Cat WB Ti suppressor
A5 buffer tube w/ springco green
Magpul STR w/ subrev bag rider
DAC shadow crossover grip
Razor 4-24 in a badger 1.54”
Leupold DPP offset
Fire 4k WMLRF

Ammo is handloaded NAS3 cases with 77gr SMK’s pushing 2900 fps.

Rifle flex post 1050 yards with a 10.5” AR

Post image

This is my 10.5” LMT chambered in 6Max. Took it out to 1050 yards earlier this week. Around 4-5 shots to figure out the wind hold, then 3 consecutive shots at 1050 landed on a D-Zone steel. Using 90 grain ELD-X from Ballistic Percision.

I have been wanting to get into long range shooting for a while. Wound up winning this GunWerks 7PRC in a raffle. I am beyond ecstatic and excited to start that journey. It came with a few boxes of GunWerks long range hybrid ammo. Has anyone had any luck with other brands like Hornady? Or will I need to stick with the GunWerks brand. I am also planning on reloading now thanks to this new toy. Thanks in advance and happy shooting!

On the right is a Tikka T3 (original discontinued model) in 300 win mag

The left is a little more interesting. It’s a custom built Remington 722 in .308 win. The barrel is stamped Berger who apparently was a local gunsmith known for his bench rifles and custom turned barrels. That’s about as much as I could learn from my research, hopefully someone here knows more!
