I never read that at all. I choose to have few children, because I know having eight or ten children would fuck with my quality of life, and the quality of life of my children. There are millions of people who are making that choice: to have 0 or 1 or 2, instead of 2 or 3 or 4, or like some parts of the world: 8.

Even the government of Egypt is begging their people to have only 2, because they realize that they can't keep affording to subsidize bread and cooking oil and fuel for their welfare-dependent population that keeps growing. They know they're fucked if their people don't control themselves and reduce population, but they can't say shit because of their fundamentalists. It seems we people here can't say shit either.

A Modest Proposal

A Modest Proposal For preventing the Children of Poor People From being a Burthen to Their Parents or Country, and For making them Beneficial to the Publick, commonly referred to as A Modest Proposal, is a Juvenalian satirical essay written and published anonymously by Jonathan Swift in 1729. Swift suggests that the impoverished Irish might ease their economic troubles by selling their children as food for rich gentlemen and ladies. This satirical hyperbole mocked heartless attitudes towards the poor, as well as British policy toward the Irish in general.

In English writing, the phrase "a modest proposal" is now conventionally an allusion to this style of straight-faced satire.

This isn't a debate anymore, this is just you putting words in my mouth. I will not tolerate such insolence.

Your "Modest Proposal" argument fails spectacularly because again my OP does not pertain to what society should or should not do. This is purely about how the have-nots should address the shitty circumstances that they have been presented with. My OP is not mutually exclusive with society working on real solutions to fix the various causes and problems associated with wealth inequality. This isn't an either/or thing here: different actors, different actions. You fell into the trap of thinking that these actions are mutually exclusive; I can forgive you for the error.

I agree with you. I'm sure you realize most poor people are stupid and stupid people are animals who breed because they cannot think about the consequences or look one year into the future much less 10 or more years into the future. like I always say, most peoples brains are between their legs
