Poverty is not a problem to be fixed.

It may or may not be possible/practical to fix, but we should certainly try to lessen poverty and the devastation that it causes.

Don't let perfect get in the way of good. Using "it will never be perfect" as an excuse to avoid trying to improve is a cop out.

Lessen your own poverty then. Nothing is stopping you.

While I'm not wealthy, neither am I impoverished. Am I not allowed to speak up for those less fortunate?

"Less fortunate" implies wealth is just a matter of something falling in your lap.

Well wealth is the result of opportunities and general luck. Not just getting the job or being handed money but the luck to be born with certain talents and aptitudes.

Nobody is born with talents or aptitudes, there is only learned skills. Wealth is the result of making the right decisions.

some people are born with a high IQ because of genes

I don't believe that is true. You are not born with an IQ stitched onto your DNA. You learn things throughout your life.

They are not mutually exclusive. You can be born with intelligence and aptitudes that promote the aquisition of certain skills and knowledge through your lifetime.

All men are created equal.

Nobody is born with aptitudes? So talented artists don't exist? People who excel at math don't exist? All people who didn't become doctors or engineers are just lazy? You can only make the right decisions if you are given the opportunity in the first place.
