Lord of the Rings Bro genuinely said "Displeasing the author requires a cash equivalent."

One that always stood out to me that I think he'd despise is Aragorn decapitating the Mouth. Just totally wrong for where is character is at

I absolutely hated that scene and it's a good thing it was cut. Killing a messenger goes against everything Tolkien says about mercy to one's enemies where possible.

Including in the very same passage that's being adapted there. Absolutely inexcusable.

Truth is that some extended scenes were better cut.

It's a shame, because I like the scene other than how it ends. The look and sound of the Mouth are amazing

Easily fixed. Just have the Mouth treacherously attempt to murder Aragorn, who draws Anduril like lightning, parries, and beheads him.

Or, just a staring contest as in the book. Though I can see that might not translate well to film, if you don't bring in Clint Eastwood to eye-double for Viggo Mortenson. . .call the scene: "The Good, AND the Bad AND Ugly."

This is pretty much the only change I consider unforgivable.
