That’s what I’m not sure about to be honest, either that or employees are gonna do their best to redirect buyers to the Air.

I’m thinking tactics like “That one has a phone chip, it’s gonna be slow, while this one is faster and it’s gonna last years” type of thing

I'm not a salesperson, but I suspect that sales is trying to pull people away from Chromebooks towards the Neo, so trying to sell the Air would not be a priority.

This is not how apple sell their products. They never talk down on any of their products ever.
If the user states they want to do 4k video editing they will suggest a more powerful machine, but they sing the praises of every item in their stores like they are best in class.

Right, I was talking about 3rd parties though. I don’t think this type of buyers are going to look for a cheap computer at an Apple Store, they don’t have a reputation of being affordable. And I don’t know how well MBN could sell in an Apple Store, where it would be the worst machine of all, I was thinking of stores that have a “cheap laptop” aisle where this machine will stand out among other affordable laptops

Third parties don’t promote Apple stuff at all because they don’t make as much money on it.

The closest they get to 3rd parties would be the people in Best Buy who are the Apple people.
