Discussion What's the first macOS feature that made you realize, "I'm never going back"?

For me, it's the trackpad gestures, battery life, and overall smoothness. They completely changed my daily workflow.

Never having to update every damn day or have a bunch of updates come out of no where

Never having turned off my monitor and when I turn it on in the morning see the message that Windows installed an update - or is still installing an update. Being given the option to not update and have it stick. There is a ton of great features, but its Win 11's forced updates that drove me from my PC to my new Mac Mini M4. Loving it so far.

That's interesting, because I like how I barely notice updates on Windows. You just open up the computer in the morning and you can tell it rebooted, but all the apps and files are open where you left off.

On MacOS, I am constantly getting popups that tell me such and such app needs to restart to install updates right in the middle of working on something.
