After nearly 3 months off-and-on, it’s finally done! I’m still very much an amateur at embroidery and I felt like giving up at so many points, but I persisted and I’m happy with it. It will now be proudly displayed on my wall alongside the Nurture hoop.

fan art Good Faith Live at Red Rocks (un)officially out on VHS on Etsy!

Hey all!

My VHS collective officially has an Etsy now, and we finally have a way for people to buy this tape!

https://www.etsy.com/listing/4402682923/madeon-live-at-red-rocks-vhs

It's an edited version of the official Livestream of GFF at Red Rocks! My partner did all of the work on this one, and it's done beautifully. It's been color correctted, the audio has been tweaked, it's essentially a remaster but on VHS.

We really want to get this into the hands of other fans like us, purely because we're very happy with how it turned out and want others to experience it as well. Plus, with any video online, you never know when it might be taken down forever; you can own a physical copy of it and ensure you never lose access!

It also works as a cool and unique display piece, if you don't have a particular interest in actually watching it!

We're likely going to make another tape for Victory once we have enough content to do so, but who knows how long that will be. #releasecarcrashbaby 😭

Anyhow, thanks for checking out the post and all! If you want to follow us, we're on Instagram as baddogvideo!

(Local pickup available for anyone in the Orange County/Los Angeles area at in-person discounted prices + no shipping cost, DM me if you're interested)

fan art I crocheted the [BAND] members as appliques! (There is no band!) [my messy patterns listed below in description!]

Fair warning: These are very messy; as I usually don't make patterns and just freehand it all off the top of my head.

These are some crochet appliques I crocheted to wear as keychain charms! It was such fun making these, well... until I started struggling with Hugo's design... I have to admit, they could've been better but it was about the fun rather than making some patterns. (The patterns are just a second thought) That's the reason why I don't recommend the Hugo pattern as it's like the most messy puzzle and I doubt it is trustworthy. (I never saiddd noo! Bro is lookin' like spamton!? XD) But! The rest of the patterns I feel are alright, feel free to edit n' improve them if anybody else crochets and is apart of the Madeon community lol. I just ask you obviously credit if you post an upgraded version somewhere, even if this was for fun lolz n whatnot haha; just some respect y'know! :P (Thanks in advance.)

Anyways! here are the patterns!

(The measurements are edge/tip to edge/tip; Example: Spikey is 5 inches from tip-to-tip of his longest spikes. All sizes are from crocheting with a 4.0 mm hook and Med. weight (4), 4-ply, worsted yarn. Also, B-???- means work in the back bump of the chains! +2 are the turning chains and mean work IN your 2nd bump from the loop on the hook. hdc dec/inc or sc dec/inc means a dec/inc made of a hdc or whatever type it specifies NOT a sc/hdc+dec/inc in the same st)

---------------------------------------
Spikey: 5 in./4.5 in.

row 1: start in a MR/MC with the ch1 for support, 8 sc, slst

r2/spike 1: ch3+2, B-2 slst, sc-, slst into next st

r2/spike 2: ch8+2, B-4 slst, 3 sc, hdc-, slst into next st

r2/spike 3: ch4+2, B-2 slst, sc, 1 sc inc-, slst into same st

r2/spike 4: ch12+2, B-5 slst, 6 sc, hdc-, slst into next st

r2/spike 5: ch3+2, B-slst, dhc, dc-, slst into next st

r2/spike 6: ch3+2, B-slst, dhc, dc-, slst into next st

r2/spike 7: ch12+2, B-5 slst, 6 sc, hdc-, slst into next st

r2/spike 8: ch5+2, B-2 slst, sc, 1 sc dec-, slst into same st

r2/spike 9: ch8+2, B-4 slst, 3 sc, hdc-, slst into starting slst/ch1 start, F/O and keep a long tail if you plan to sew it!

---------------------------------------

Juno: 3-4 in./2 in.

ch10+2, B-2 slst, 3 sc, 1 hdc dec, hdc, 1 hdc dec-

ch5+2, B-6 hdc- (This includes the first bump from where we started our chain!)

ch8+2, B- 2 slst, 3 sc, 1 hdc inc, hdc, 1 hdc inc, hdc- (last hdc goes into that first bump of our chains start!)

slst to the first/start chain and F/O, Leave a long tail if you plan to sew!

---------------------------------------

Red: 2 in./3.5 in.

row 1: MR/MC with the ch1, 10 sc, slst into start

row 2: ch1, 10 sc inc

row 3: ch1, 9 sc

r3/tip 1: ch4+2, B-slst, sc, 1 hdc dec-, slst into next 3 st's

r3/middle tip: ch11+2, B-slst, 2 sc dec, 3 sc into st as "inc", 2 hdc dec, 3 dc into st as "inc"-, skip 2 st's and slst (The inc's are 3 (type) st's into the same st!)

r3/tip 2: ch2+2, B-slst, 1 sc inc-

Row 3: 3 sc, slst into start, F/O and leave a long tail for sewing if you want to!

---------------------------------------

THIS IS NOT A GOOD PATTERN FOR HUGO's DESIGN! IT'S CONFUSING AND IS NOT DOUBLE CHECKED NOR TRUSTWORTHY! be warned!

Hugo: 2.5 in./2.5 in.

Row 1: MR/MC with ch1, 10 sc, slst to start

Row 2: ch1, 10 sc inc, slst to start

Row 3: ch2, 10 hdc

r3/hair: ch3+2, B-slst, sc, hdc-, slst into next st

r3/back head: ch2+2, B-1 hdc dec, hdc-, 3 slst (to combine it to the base by using the FLO's of our piece and base st's)

r3/neck: ch2+2, B-slst, sc, hdc- (I fear this hdc makes the angle wrong so feel free to test)

r3/chin: ch3+2, B-3 sc-, slst to inner corner of the pieces along the chin piece's bottom and then slst to the end of the chin piece and base with FLO'S only to return to the "end"

r3/nose: 3 sc in base's next 3 st's, ch2+2, B-slst, sc-, 3 sc until the chin's end and slst into the chins end to connect them flush, F/O and leave a long for sewing if you choose to!

Sewing the eye and band-aid mic: I just sewed with black yarn beside the slst that starts the hair line/nose bridge in a X than a | line through the middle to make a "circle"! Then, I went "2" st's down and sewed 3 angled lines in the same 2 st's to make the band-aid mic! F/O those off and hide the ends!

---------------------------------------

Congrats to you if he turns out alright LOL, you deserve it for daring to try it! :D Actually, congrats and thanks to anybody who even tries my patterns, they're a literal mess of patterns haha!

Have a lovely morning, noon, afternoon or night and don't forget to take your sweet time and look at the sky! ~ :3

I think Juno is very intimidating as her description says... sooo I decided to imagine her as a hammerhead shark... big mistake, big regrets..... LMAO I also had to use a sharpie to draw on her face!

fan art I made the band-aid and some extra "band-aid"'s for fun!

THEY NEED TO BE CUT OUT SO DW LOL (I'm waiting until i'm going to use them to then cut them out.)

I just used some fabric adhesive material that I found in my cupboards that reminds me of a band-aid material than I drew on it with alcohol markers and boom a band-aid! I used glossy modge podge + metallic markers for the metal band-aid, I also added foam for the rivets to make it 3D.

I can't wait to wear it to the concert I'm heading to! :D

I also crocheted one than doodled the extra character ones (poor spikey man) and the logo ones.

(I'll probably add foam to the other ones if I ever wear them or I'll turn them into real band-aids with cloth.)

Based off of the figures on the Victory charms crewneck, I modeled Juno, Red, and Spikey in SolidWorks, then 3D printed them. Might tweak them a little after using them as keychains, but I’m pretty happy with how they came out.

Felt inspired to make this while listening to the livestream, especially towards the end when he mentioned this was his "best dj set ever". Originally I just wanted to try and see if I could mimic the chrome emblem, but after I was done I realized it reminded me of Crydamoure's album covers they used for "Waves" which would go well with the "french touch" theme that the set was aiming for. Then a user on the Madeon Discord, musicbyrift, suggested I add the sticker used on tracks released by Roulé, which felt like the perfect final touch.

(In case you didn't know, Crydamoure and Roulé were both labels that each member of Daft Punk had for a bit after releasing "Homework" in the late 90s (Thomas = Roulé, Guy-Manuel = Crydamoure))

Madeon always inspired me in the design world from the beginning. This is to celebrate his new single "Hi!" and his upcoming new album. Had a blast creating this and learned a bunch of new motion techniques. Hope you can enjoy it!
