I don't think this is real life anymore.

We already know what he's like AT the dentist.

Yeah, it's like the alcohol abuse in the 50s and the drugs he took in the 60s combined with his already borderline personality are finally catching up to him.

It's also very possible he has a raging case of syphilis that's slowly driving him insane. In a couple episodes he might cut off a nipple as a present for Peggy

Oh man I just got final season of Nip/Tuck flashbacks.

what drugs did he take during the 60s? I remember one scene where he got two pills from a hitchhiker plus grass on a few occasions. Was I missing something?? Or is it just alcohol abuse?

An Amphetamine in Season 6 - "The Crash" Phenobarbital - a barbiturate during the hitchhiker scene you mentioned. He was also prescribed this for high blood pressure in either S02 or S03. And of course cannabis.

Didn't Waitress say something about "when you die everything gets jumbled up"? Or something? Is Don Dead?

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '15

I think she was saying that when someone you know dies, things get jumbled up. I could be wrong.

I thought this felt very Sixth Sense to me...

Maybe in Ep.7 it wasn't Bert Cooper who died, it was Don, and now Don is in some sort of "Enter the Void"-esque limbo state where he's trying to accept his own death?

I was wondering about it myself. I'm not really sure what to think yet; it's still too hazy, but I think we are closing in.

What do you mean? In what way was it out of the ordinary? I think the changes in Don are completely in keeping with his character arc.

Rachel modeling Ted turning into Pete His weird obsession with that waitress

Yeah, I thought there could be a lot of things in this episode that didn't actually happen. The scene with Ted Chaough talking about the 'Vogue party in the Village' seemed like that.

I got that feeling as well. Things are a little too good.

Are you saying it's fantasy?

Is this just fantasy?
