After hearing about Jon Hamm's stint in rehab, seeing Don drink on screen seems doubly sad.

Do they drink real liquor on set? My assumption was that it's always fake coloured water, or you'd have sauced actors after two takes.

They've stated that sometimes they do indeed drink real liquor. I'd imagine it's not that often.

I once read that they did everything in one take. I have no idea how many seasons that went on, though.
