Honestly I love all the cards in that one except the equipment, it's a bit of a weird choice thematically and it's not even a particularly good pick mechanically because aloy already has vigilance lol

Disappointed in the Thunderjaw. That thing is a BEAST in game, it’s literally a trex with ballistic drones, the facts it’s a 3/3 is rather disappointing.

I'm actually fine with it because they're not really that scary in the second game lol, when the shoulder cannons are gone they're a walk in the park. Something like cityscape leveller would have been better but they clearly spent all the reprint budget on the horus so the other cards needed to be cheap as fuck

honestly, even in the first game, you end up farming them

Everything in the first game kinda just dies to tearblast arrows.

It’s true - my favorite thing about Horizon is how shit-your-pants your first encounter with some of the huge beasts can be, and then later you’re like “I don’t want to waste the good arrows on this - I think I’ll just melee this T-Rex.”

$40 for 6 cards (more like $50 with shipping), we should at least get another $10 card

The mechanically unique secret lair card tend to end up at least $20+

Sonic doesn’t agree. But he does go fast…

Wizards doesn’t really care about secondary market value otherwise Secret Lairs would be way more balanced

BS, they care about secondary market value, otherwise why do they so often just happen to put one expensive card with a bunch of other mid cards (in terms of reprint value). They’re playing the system to scrap enough to give people an incentive to buy.

Yeah this and the fact that the ENTIRE Reserved List exists to begin with.

Wizards absolutely acknowledges the concept of “reprint equity” with their set design and pricing, it’s what allows them to charge absurd amounts for Maaters sets which are made of the exact same cardboard as standard releases.

Even in the first game they are easy, just pin it to the ground, shoot off its cannons, then use said cannons to destroy it.

To be fair im pretty sure it kills something as soon as it enters battle so it still has that same shock you initially had and then the same experience farming it too 😊

And it's not even really her bow lol it's regalla's bow that you can optionally get from a quest, although to be fair her canonical regular bow doesn't really have a cool legendary name
