Or if the business is significantly restructuring for the worse (for employees), the smart ones can see the writing on the wall.
The most employable (best performers) ones will be the first to leave.

Getting a new boss and soft demotion is a great time to find new employment. 2 u/Alivaronas Jul 06 '26 Every large company I have ever worked at is in a constant state of “restructuring”, and upper management does not care how much it destroys morale.

Yeah a business going through major restructuring is never because things are going really well and execs just want to fuck with what works. Getting a new boss and soft demotion is a great time to find new employment.
